Nankang Furniture Town is the first furniture industry town in the country, adhering to the principle of integrating industry as the core, tourism as the support, culture as the integration, and common development for people's livelihoods. It follows the "four-in-one" model of production, life, ecology, and the "three-life integration" concept. With high-level planning, high-quality construction, and high-standard operations, it aims to create "The First Town of Home Furnishings in the World."The core area spans 2 square kilometers, with major buildings arranged around a 300-acre scenic lake. To the east, a wood cabin cluster with styles from five continents is being developed under the "Belt and Road" initiative. To the west, a unique architectural complex will combine the architectural styles of the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as the 56 ethnic groups and Hakka dwellings. To the south, the "One Bridge and Two Centers" project is planned, which includes the Home Furnishing Bridge, Home Furnishing Convention Center, and Home Furnishing Expo Center. The north will feature the creation of an urban living room.

Since the official opening and operation of Nankang Furniture Town, it has focused on leveraging its unique furniture industry cultural resources and beautiful park landscapes. The town has actively promoted the integration of culture and tourism, as well as the development of a public cultural service system. It is building a comprehensive tourism exhibition system that deeply integrates "industry-tourism," "agriculture-tourism," and "sports-tourism," with Nankang’s unique characteristics. After implementing a free entry policy in July 2021, the town's popularity gradually increased, with the highest daily visitor count surpassing 30,000. In total, nearly 2 million tourists visited the town in that year. The number of tourists and tourism revenue accounted for one-third and one-half of Nankang’s tourism share, respectively. This fully demonstrated the town’s role as the first AAAA-level scenic area in Nankang, driving the surrounding area's development through its radiating and attracting effect. The "Nankang Furniture Town" tourism brand has become a new hallmark of southern Jiangxi tourism, and it has also emerged as a new window for promoting investment, tourism, and showcasing the city’s image.
